Geologists were amazed to hear of Gold being found in the Perth Hills. The find was in Lesmurdie near the escarpment, in the grounds of The Good Life B&B.
This find is thought to be one of the biggest single finds in the history of Western Australia
Barry the husband of the proprietor of the Good Life B&B’s who made the find while digging a hole in preparation to plant a fruit tree in his back yard commented, “this will not change my life” I will still plant my apple tree but I will take back the Granny Smiths and swap it for a Golden Delicious, they cost $5.00 more but blow the expense”.
As for the Bed and Breakfast it is business as usual here at The Good Life we will still be open seven days per week as our guests always come first.
Although Barry did say he would let his wife have a day off on Wednesday as she has got a hospital appointment!
